Fujairah Ruler praises EIDA’s Strategic Plan 2014-2016


Fujairah news; His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammad Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, praised the strategic projects carried out by the Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA) such as the National ID Card and the electronic link between ministries and government entities. H.H. said that these projects constitute a qualitative leap in the performance of government work and contribute effectively and pivotally in achieving the electronic transformation we aspire for in the government services across the country as per the objectives of the Federal e-Government.
In a meeting held today at his Al Rumailah Palace with a delegation from EIDA, H.H. lauded the authority’s Strategic Plan 2014-2016 and its mission that goes in line with the UAE government’s vision for the upcoming years and focuses on attaining more achievements and reinforcing UAE’s security and international competitive position, through supporting upgrading the government and economic performance and providing an advanced and comprehensive ID system in the country.
The Ruler of Fujairah valued EIDA’s achievements in applying its current strategic plan 2010-2013, which was crowned by preparing the country’s population registry and registering all citizens and expats in the “Smart ID Card” project, which is considered an important addition to the achievements of the country.
H.H. stressed that the wise leadership of the country, spearheaded by the President, H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan pays great attention to making the enhancement plans of the various government entities a success. He said that the President is also very keen on providing the government bodies with full support with the ultimate goal of achieving stability, prosperity and providing the people with the best living standards.
H.H. commended the directives of His Highness General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, which enabled EIDA of attaining international achievements under his chairmanship.
Sheikh Hamad also commended the directives of His Highness Sheikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nayhan, National Security Advisor and EIDA’s Chairman, and the follow up of Lt. General H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and Vice Chairman of EIDA, to continue the march of success of the authority and attain more achievements serving the competitiveness of the country and contribute to reinforcing of the national security, and supporting the strategic decision making process.
H.H. directed the government institutions in the Emirate of Fujairah to work for more coordination and cooperation with EIDA to enable it realize its objectives for the betterment of the country. His Highness also stressed the importance of adopting the ID card and benefiting from its digital applications in enhancing services of the government of Fujairah.
Eng. Ali Mohamed Al-Khouri, EIDA Director General and head of the delegation, briefed H.H. on the authority’s new Strategic Plan 2014-2016 and its latest achievements.
