SHARJAH // Unstable weather will continue on Thursday and will last over the weekend.
Overcast skies and light rain are expected across the country with heavy rain forecast along the coast and over islands, the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology said.
Early commuters in Dubai, Sharjah and the northern coast started their morning drive with light rain showers. Rain was also reported in Ras Al Khaimah, Thoban in Fujairah and Dalma.

Temperatures across the country will range between 17°C and 28°C along the coast, 16°C and 29°C inland and between 11°C and 22°C in the mountains.
Moderate winds will be cooling but become strong at times over the sea and exposed areas, picking up dust and reducing visibility. Wind speeds may reach up to 50kph along the coast.
Conditions in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman will be rough and are expected to remain that way throughout the weekend.
Similar conditions can be expected on Friday and Saturday as haze and scattered showers persist.
Forecasters said temperatures are expected to drop significantly on Saturday.
