National Sports Day 2017 in Fujairah to involve 29 activities

Fujairah News; Activities of the UAE National Sports Day in Fujairah have been increased to 29 to take place in 19 venues across the emirate, the organizers said. “All set for organizing this annual event on Thursday, February 16, 2017in line with the directives of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister, Sharif Al Awadi, the organizing committee chairman said. The official added that; “all the sports facilities and venues have been made ready to accommodate the participants as well as fans of the country’s biggest annual sports day”. “We distributed more than one thousand free branded T-shirts and caps to the public in shopping malls and clubs across the emirate to encourage them to take place in the event,” he added. Invitation has also been extended to schools, clubs and government as well as private entities to join us, he added. “Participation is open for all UAE nationals and expats from all age groups and walks of life,” he said.
This day is of a national nature, involving aerobics as well as sports, recreational, promotional, communal, educational and competitive activities, which epitomize the cohesion of community segments and reflect the intimacy, harmony and positive interaction among multi cultures living peacefully and happily in the UAE.
